Hi, I'm Josh. Welcome to Hometown Acupuncture.
I believe taking care of your health should feel like coming home.
My journey into Chinese medicine began long before I ever picked up an acupuncture needle.
I graduated from the United States Naval Academy, where I majored in Chinese. During my studies, I spent seven months living in China, immersing myself in the language and culture. I even made a point of going without speaking English so I could fully experience the world around me.
That experience introduced me to a completely different way of understanding health and the human body.
After graduation, I served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. I loved serving, but my life eventually took an unexpected turn when I began dealing with chronic pain.
Suddenly, health wasn't just something I studied or thought about. It was something I had to navigate personally, every single day.
That experience eventually brought me back to Chinese medicine, this time not simply as someone fascinated by its history and philosophy, but as a patient looking for a better way forward.
And ultimately, it led me to become an acupuncturist.
Why I Started Hometown
I created Hometown Acupuncture because I wanted to build the kind of place I would want to visit myself.
Somewhere you feel welcome the moment you walk through the door.
Somewhere you're listened to, your concerns are taken seriously, and your appointments never feel like an assembly line.
And somewhere taking care of yourself becomes a normal part of life, rather than something you only think about when you're hurting.
Today, I offer acupuncture, therapeutic cupping, bodywork, and flexible wellness memberships designed to make consistent care more accessible.
I'm also a husband and dad, and I understand that finding time for yourself isn't always easy.
That's why I'm building Hometown around a simple idea:
Real care. Real people. A place where you belong.
Ancient Wisdom. Modern Wellness. Your Way.
